Notes about the season

Notes about the season:

  • Access to your team pages will be made available once teams are formed and rosters are uploaded.
  • Team schedules, when available, will be found on team pages.
  • Play 2 evenings per week, either Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs at 5:30-6:30pm or 6:45-7:45pm.
  • Note that PreK may have a 45 minute practice instead of 1 hour dependent on coach preference.

Field Closures

In the event of inclement weather the City of Eagan may decide to close fields. Call the Eagan Field Hotline after 4pm for field status at 651-675-5566.

From the City of Eagan Parks and Rec.

Encourage your users to sign-up for our text alert under the “All Days games & fields” option or they can choose a certain day (Mon, Tues and so on) to get specific days.

  • Please note they do ask for both mobile and email. I would encourage users to only put mobile so they will get the alert sent to their mobile. This system has email as well and for whatever reason if you enter your email address then that becomes your primary contact and will send an email to alert you instead of a text (trying to get that fixed for future seasons).

We will still offer the website update by 4pm and the hotline will still be available as another option.

A typical text will say “All athletic fields in Eagan are closed at this time. All adult softball games are cancelled”. Or if only certain fields are closed we would list those parks/fields in the text or if it’s a lengthy text a link will be provided in the text to click on and go to a link showing the list of fields that are closed.

Weather/Heat Index Guidelines

The safety of the players, coaches, and spectators are of primary concern during any recreational soccer practice or game.

Remind your players to hydrate before coming to the field and to bring ample water.
