The Eagan Wave SC College Advisory Program (CAP) is a new club resource developed to assist all players and their families with the various aspects of the college athletics recruiting process.
The recruiting process requires hard work not only on the part of the parent but on the player as well. The first step is to be as informed as possible, as early as possible. This recruiting process can start well before a player enters high school so it's never too early to be thinking about the next level of play.
EWSC hosted an informational presentation with our partners Twin Cities Orthopedics at the brand new TCO Training Haus located at the TCO Vikings Performance Center. Attendees were treated to a presentation by Shari Lenz and Krystle Seidel, head coach for women's soccer at Macalester College, as well as a tour of TCO's world-class training facility.
WORKSHOP #1: Target Schools
This first workshop focused on creating a targeted list of programs and schools tailored for each player.
WORKSHOP #2: Players & Parents
PLAYERS: Player Profile & First Touch Communication
Develop and fine-tune your Player Profile and plan for making initial contact with your target schools.
PARENTS: Empowering Your Student Athlete
Jim Clancy, father of Wave trainer & Gopher alum Sara Clancy, will lead parents in a discussion about providing encouragement and support to the college-bound student athlete.
Players should arrive to the workshop 10 minutes early with a laptop/ipad, the player profile template and their list of target schools. This event is free for registered Competitive players but we ask that you register to reserve your spot.
