College Advisory Program (CAP)

The Eagan Wave SC College Advisory Program (CAP) is a new club resource developed to assist all players and their families with the various aspects of the college athletics recruiting process.

The recruiting process requires hard work not only on the part of the parent but on the player as well. The first step is to be as informed as possible, as early as possible. This recruiting process can start well before a player enters high school so it's never too early to be thinking about the next level of play.

EWSC hosted an informational presentation with our partners Twin Cities Orthopedics at the brand new TCO Training Haus located at the TCO Vikings Performance Center. Attendees were treated to a presentation by Shari Lenz and Krystle Seidel, head coach for women's soccer at Macalester College, as well as a tour of TCO's world-class training facility.

WORKSHOP #1: Target Schools

This first workshop will focus on creating a targeted list of programs and schools tailored for each player. Future workshops will focus on creating a player profile and correspondence with college coaches.

Players should arrive to the workshop with a laptop/ipad and a list of 10 schools that meet their college search criteria, including:

  • School size
  • School location & proximity to family
  • Coaching staff
  • Academics
  • Available degrees
  • School environment
  • Etc.
