ETS 2008 Tryout Information and Schedule ETS TRYOUT DETAILS AND SCHEDULE FOR U9-11 PLAYERS
The
tryouts will be held February 18 and 21 at the Irish Dome in Rosemount. These tryouts are for 2008 spring
season and are for all U9-11 players interested in playing for ETS. All interested players
born between August 1, 1996 and July 31, 1999 are required to register with EAA in order to
participate in tryouts. Parents of interested players born after July 31, 1999 must contact the
appropriate age group director and receive permission for the player to attend tryouts. MANDATORY PARENT MEETING
A meeting will be held prior to tryouts where members of the board of directors
will present information regarding changes to team formation and tryout formats.
This meeting is mandatory for at least one parent to attend. This will be the
only meeting where board members will be presenting this material. This is the
parents' best opportunity to gather information and ask questions regarding the
tryout and team formation process. There will be a session for parents of girls
and another session for parents of boys. The information presented at each session
is the same, but the presenter will be different. If you can't attend the assigned
session please feel free to attend the other session. If you have both genders playing
for ETS, you need attend only one of the sessions.
Parents are welcome to observe the tryouts. Parents may not walk on to the tryout fields without first obtaining permission from a tryout official. Parents will not be allowed to coach, cheer, or in any way communicate with players for the duration of the tryout session. At the discretion of the Technical Director or responsible age group director, any parent found to be communicating with a player may be asked to leave the tryout facility. In the case of an injury parents may not walk onto the fields until notified by an ETS Board member or other tryout volunteer.

Club policy allows children who are young for their school grade to play with their schoolmates. (e.g. A child with an early August birthday who will turn 9 in the MYSA guidelines but is in 4th grade in school can play U9 or U10 – it is the parents’ decision.) Players in this category only need to try out with the age group they want to play with. Please contact the appropriate age group director or make a note on your registration form with your child’s level. If a player is not in the above category (playing with schoolmates), they still have the option to try out to play at a higher age level, but they must attend BOTH their own age tryout AND the higher age tryout. Please contact the appropriate age group director if your child wishes to try out at more than one level. Please review the MYSA Birthyear Guidelines to verify your child’s playing level. ETS website and at the age group director's discretion at Wescott Library.
2007-08 Paid Coach Announcements The parents for the 2007 season teams have expressed the intent to retain the services of a trainer/paid coach for spring/summer season of 2008. Team training will begin March 1st 2007. An additional financial commitment above the regular ETS fees will be required of all players/parents for the purchase of training and indoor facilities. The estimated additional cost per player is listed below. If your family can not make the time or financial commitments, please contact the appropriate Age Group Director prior to tryouts. The player's name will be removed from consideration for placement on the specified team but will not affect placement on other teams in the age group. If a player /
parents decide(s) to withdraw the player from this team after the
team is formed, the player will be placed on the lowest level team
