REFEREES

Referee Clinics

Note that in order to register for any of the following clinics you must do so via the Minnesota SRC web page: http://www.MinnesotaSRC.org

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM MinnesotaSRC

Attendees need to plan to attend the entire session as required by USSF. Please do not expect that to be able to leave early or miss part of the session to attend some other event or activity.

All returning referees received a letter instructing them how to register as a referee for 2008. The information is posted to the SRC website at the following link: http://www.minnesotasrc.org/referee.php#ref-2

Anyone having difficulty registering on-line with USSF can send an email to info@minnesotasrc.org to obtain assistance.

Anyone wishing to attend a clinic must register for the specific clinic at the following link: http://www.minnesotasrc.org/clinics_pre.php

Anyone attending a clinic can study the Laws of the Game in advance by reading the material at: http://images.ussoccer.com/Documents/cms/ussf/07_law_of-the-game.pdf This is strongly encouraged based on the information that follows.

Returning referees that do not pass the recertification test must wait at least 14 days to take the test at another clinic. Instructors will not award badges to anyone that did not receive a passing score.

Anyone taking the Grade 8 Entry level course that does not receive a passing grade will be offered two options. They can wait at least 14 days and retake the test at any clinic location or they can register as a Grade 9 referee provided they attained a minimum passing score for that grade.

Anyone choosing to register as a Grade 9 referee will be able to upgrade the next year by either taking the Grade 8 Entry level course or by taking the one day Bridge course.

ETS will be hosting the following referee clinics in 2008:

Anyone registering with USSF after that time MUST bring proof to the clinic.
