Eagan Wave Soccer Club General Information

The Eagan Wave Soccer Club program exists to serve the needs and interests of its present and future soccer players by providing multiple levels of competition for boys and girls in the Eagan area. Our program currently meets the needs of approximately 700 participants ages 9-19.

Eagan Wave Soccer Club supports over 50 teams playing in the United States Youth Soccer Association Region II Midwest league and the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association Premier, Classic I, Classic II, Classic III, and Under-10 leagues. We are funded by the City of Eagan, the Eagan Athletic Association, donations, volunteers, and member fees.

Our club strives to provide a positive experience for players on all Eagan teams. We offer qualified coaching, and multiple levels of training for players, teams, coaches, and referees. We also offer local and regional travel. Most importantly, we provide an environment that promotes teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship.

The levels of play Eagan Wave Soccer Club supports:

Midwest: Most competitive level within USYSA Region II

Premier: Most competitive level in MYSA

Classic I: Highly Competitive

Classic II: Competitive

Classic III: Competitive

Under 9/10: Developmental

Levels of play are determined by the MYSA based on previous summer season team results. MYSA attempts to build its leagues based on parity within each age group. All teams can move up, down, or remain in the same league in the current season based on the previous season's results. All leagues are competitive at the U-11 and up age group. The U-9/10 teams focus on learning the game and do not keep track of wins, loses, ties, or skinned knees.

The Boys and Girls Programs each have individual Directors who work with the Director of Coaching and the Club Coach in the selection of Team Coaches. We use outside evaluators working with the Directors, Club Coach, and Team Coach in the placement of individuals on club teams.
