The attached rules provide an outline of the format for the different age groups, practice and game formats, along with a standard set of rules of the game. Eagan Wave Soccer leverages the FIFA rules as a basis. Changes to the rules are made to accomodate the smaller format games.
US Youth Soccer has been moving to small sided soccer games to encourage the number of touches for younger players. By increasing the number of touches each player gets per training session and game, the faster they develop as players and the more fun they have.
